Click on the pictures to see an enlarged view. The farm house was originally called Blake Farm and built about 1830. The Blake family was well known in the village since one of the daughters was the local school mistress. This picture dates from the late 1800's. The house has undergone many transformations since then.
This picture was taken in the early 1900's. The carriage house (on the right hand side of the picture above) has been converted into what is currently the kitchen. A porch has been added and one can see what looks to be a dove cote to the right of the porch; this no longer exists, there is however a bay window in the living room where the dove cote stood.

"Three generations spent a wonderful Christmas week here. The house is perfect - everybody has a place to gather - or - be by themselves. We had great meals in the dining room & a lovely Christmas Tree in the bay window - Santa found us Christmas morning - and arranged to get all our gifts down the fireplace that was bright & warming us all! We would love to come back - thank you for all your hospitality! Only thing missing was snow!"
